Rhode Peptide Lip Tints: My Top 3 Everyday Shades

Three Rhode Peptide Lip Tints in pink, mauve and berry

If you've been on BeautyTok recently, you've probably seen the Rhode Peptide Lip Tints everywhere. They retail for USD $20 and come in a range of wearable shades that are designed to give your lips a hint of colour while keeping them hydrated.

Rhode describes these as a nourishing lip treatment with a glossy finish, and I'd say that's a pretty accurate description. Most of the shades give a soft wash of colour that's easy to wear every day, while Raspberry Jelly is noticeably more pigmented if that's what you're after.

In terms of wear time, they're not the longest-lasting lip products I've tried. I usually get around 3 to 4 hours before reaching for another swipe, especially after eating or drinking. That said, they leave my lips feeling comfortable instead of dry, which is something I really appreciate.

The shine is also quite natural. It's not an ultra-glossy, glass-like finish, but it gives just enough sheen to make your lips look healthy without feeling sticky.

These are the three shades I find myself reaching for the most.

1. Ribbon

Ribbon is my go-to everyday pink. It's soft, fresh and effortless, making it perfect for minimal makeup days or when I just want my lips to look a little more alive. It's one of those shades that instantly brightens my face without looking like I'm wearing much at all.

2. Salty Tan

Salty Tan is a beautiful muted mauve that gives the perfect my-lips-but-better effect. It pairs well with pretty much every makeup look I've worn, whether I'm going for something natural or a full face. If I could only keep one shade, this would probably be the safest pick.

3. PBJ

PBJ is the most pigmented of my top three, but it's still very wearable. It has a gorgeous berry-brown tone that adds just the right amount of depth without feeling too bold. I tend to reach for this on days when my lips are looking a little pale or when I want a bit more colour to pull my makeup look together.

Final thoughts

If you're looking for a lip product that feels comfortable, adds a healthy shine and gives a subtle wash of colour, I think the Rhode Peptide Lip Tints are worth trying. They're easy to throw on without a mirror, they keep my lips feeling hydrated throughout the day, and the shades are flattering enough that I never have to think twice about which one to wear.

Out of all the shades I've tried, Ribbon, Salty Tan and PBJ are the ones I keep coming back to. They cover everything from fresh everyday makeup to slightly deeper looks, and I genuinely don't think you can go wrong with any of them.
